Privacy, approach and presentation on the shore's largest blocks.
Warrawee is small, almost entirely residential, and built on some of the largest blocks on the Upper North Shore. That scale sets the brief. The garden is rarely seen all at once: it is experienced as a sequence, from the street to the gate, along the driveway, at the entry, and then out to whatever the back of the property holds. Two things matter more here than anywhere else we work, and they are privacy and the approach. Grandeur Gardening provides garden maintenance, landscaping, garden design, horticulture and tree pruning throughout Warrawee.
Scale changes the timing of everything. A hedge run that takes half an hour on a normal block takes most of a day here, so the work has to be sequenced rather than squeezed into a single seasonal push. We plan the big set-piece jobs, the full hedge cuts and the major clean-downs, well before the times they are most wanted: before Christmas, and ahead of spring if a property is going to market. Leaving a Warrawee garden's annual work to be discovered in December is how it ends up half done.
Large gardens photograph and present very differently from how they look day to day, and both selling agents and event photographers work to short lead times. The useful window is about six weeks. That is long enough for a hedge to recover its face after a proper cut, for lawn repair to knit, and for fresh mulch to settle rather than looking as though it arrived the previous afternoon. Told early enough, we sequence the work backward from your date.
We also provide garden maintenance in Wahroonga, Turramurra and Pymble.
Yes. Those gardens need a zoned plan rather than a single mowing round: pool surrounds want plants that do not drop into the water, court surrounds need screening that stays clear of the fence line and the playing surface, and each zone runs to its own schedule under one program.
Usually. The honest answer is that instant screening comes at a cost, so we normally combine advanced stock where the sightline actually matters with smaller, faster-establishing plants elsewhere. Choosing a species suited to the aspect matters more than buying the biggest plant available, since a stressed advanced tree can sit still for two years while a well-matched smaller one overtakes it.
Yes, and on larger Warrawee properties it saves a lot of friction. We work to a fixed visit schedule so pool servicing, cleaning and any other regular trades are not all competing for the driveway on the same morning.
