How we handle the information you give us, in plain terms.
Grandeur Gardening respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

When you request a quote. Our quote forms ask for your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the service you are interested in, and whatever you tell us about your garden. You choose what to put in the message field, so please do not include anything sensitive you would not want sent by email.
When you simply browse. We collect anonymous statistics about visits: which pages are viewed, roughly how long for, whether you arrived from a search engine or a link, and a general location based on your IP address, typically no more specific than a city. We also record when someone taps our phone number, clicks our email address, or submits a quote form, so we know which pages actually generate enquiries.
We do not collect payment details through this website, and we do not ask for information about your health, background or finances.
We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it. We will not add you to a marketing list off the back of a quote request.
Running a website means using a few outside services. The ones that can receive information about you are:
Some of these providers are based overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.
Where the site lets you attach photos of your garden, those images are previewed in your own browser and are not uploaded or stored by us. If you want us to see photos, send them with your enquiry or by email.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them for website analytics and for the chat window. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the site will still work, and we will simply see less about how it is being used.
Quote requests are kept while we are dealing with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, since past quotes and job records are often needed later. Website statistics are retained by Google Analytics under its own retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat your details with care.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge for asking.
If you think we have mishandled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
